Yost House is the Spanish language theme house at Stanford University. The House promotes the use of Spanish by welcoming all levels and varieties of the language.

Fridays, 3:15 pm - 4:05 pm starting the second week of the quarter (Jan 15) and meeting for 8 weeks (until March 5).

Wednesdays at 6:00 pm - 6:50 pm starting the second week of the quarter (Jan 13) and meeting for 8 weeks (until March 3).

Classes held in Yost Lounge
Living at Yost: Should you be interested in living at Yost in ’10-’11 (you get to avoid the draw!), you must meet the following requirements to qualify as a special priority resident:
- Completed three quarters (one year) of college-level Spanish prior to residence in Yost or demonstrate adequate fluency in Spanish (an evaluation by the Language Center may be required).
Upon receiving priority, you must sign the Yost Housing Agreement and commit to one of the following: (Priority I or Priority II):
Priority I:
A. Attend Spanish Table once weekly and speak Spanish in common areas of the House
B. Prepare a research or performance based project to present to the House in Winter or Spring Quarter. Please describe the research or presentation you would like to do at Yost.
C.
Attend 3 presentations or activities during the course of the year sponsored by Yost.
D. Take a minimum of 1 credit unit of Spanish during your Yost residence year, by taking either one of the activity courses in Yost or a class offered through the Language Center (SPANLANG) or another course offered in Spanish.
Priority II:
A. Attend Spanish Table once weekly and speak Spanish in common areas of the House.
B. Attend 3 presentations or activities during the course of the year sponsored by Yost.
C.
Assist ATAs with identifying Spanish language and cultural events at Stanford and in the community.
D. Take a minimum of 1 credit unit of Spanish during your Yost residence year, by taking either one of the activity courses in Yost or a class offered through the Language Center (SPANLANG) or another course offered in Spanish.
